Blueprint Works

single day construction

We are so excited to partner with you this year! Single Day Construction Projects are available Monday through Saturday by request, pending availability. We welcome groups of all sizes.

For more information, please contact us by clicking the sign up button at the bottom of this page.

Before your event:

  1. How do I sign up my group for a Service Day Project? Please click the sign up button found at the bottom of this page. Sign-ups are on a first come first serve basis.

  2. Fill out Liability Forms- Every participant, youth and/or adult, must fill out the proper liability form and turn in before leaving for the job site. Liability Forms are found under “REQUIRED FORMS” at the bottom of the page. Please make sure you fill out the correct form for your age bracket (17 and under or 18 and over).

  3. Is construction experience necessary? No! We will have a Blueprint representative available to help facilitate the project. All we ask of you is that you have a teachable spirit and willingness to serve.

  4. Is there a max number of participants? No. However, if you have more than 30 participants for a single day event, we will need to discuss your event in more detail.

  5. How old do participants have to be to participate? Participants need to have completed the 6th grade. Children between the ages of 8 and 11 require prior permission to participate, and at a minimum, will require parental supervision and oversight on the workday. At this time, we do not allow children under the age of 8 on our home construction sites.

Day of Event:

  1.  What is the time frame? The day begins at our facility at 8:30am. This allows us a short window of time for introductions and collecting paperwork. We leave for the job site at 9:00am and work until approximately 3:30pm.

  2. What do I need to bring? Please provide a roster of attendees on the day of the event, along with your liability forms, water, gloves, a lunch for each person and transportation to and from the job site. Blueprint will provide all the tools and supplies necessary to complete construction task(s).

  3. How many sites will we be working on? Blueprint’s ideal number on a job site is 12-14 participants. If your group is larger, we prefer to assign the group to multiple job sites. Please let us know if your group cannot be split up. Hosting larger groups at one site depends on the availability of projects at that job site.

  4. Is there a cost for single day construction projects? No, the single day construction projects are designed as an introductory volunteer program, free of charge. However, if you are a business or small group, we do gladly accept contributions to help continue our program.
