single day construction
Interested in a single day construction project? We would love to work with you to make that happen! Please read the FAQ section and then proceed to request a date by clicking the button at the bottom of the page. Please note that single day construction projects are only available in our off-season (September-April).
How do I sign up my group for a Service Day Project? Please click the sign up button found at the bottom of this page. Not all dates are available and it is a first come first serve basis. If your primary date is not available, we will do our best to work with you.
What is the time frame? Blueprint work days start at 8:30am at our facilities to do introductions and paperwork. We leave for the job site at 9:00am and work until 3/3:30pm.
What do I need to bring? Blueprint provides all the tools and supplies necessary to complete the task. We ask that you bring the proper Liability Form for your age, water, gloves and a lunch for each person. It is also helpful if you provide a roster of attendees on the day of the event.
Where do I find the Liability Form? They are in the section below FAQ. Please make sure you fill out the correct one for your age bracket. There is an under 17 and an 18+ form.
Who must fill out the Liability Form? Everyone! Every participant, student and adult, must fill out the proper age form and turn in before leaving for job site
What is the age limit? All ages are welcome. If there is a participant 11 years old or younger, they must be accompanied by a legal guardian at all times on the job site. If this is not possible for your group, we won't be able to take your group to a homeowner job site but may be able to coordinate a volunteer opportunity around our facilities.
Who provides transportation? The volunteer group is responsible to provide transportation to and from event. Blueprint does not provide any transportation of volunteers.
Is construction experience necessary? No! We will have a Blueprint representative available to help facilitate the project. We just ask that you have a teachable spirit and willingness to serve.
Is there a max number of participants? No. However, if you have more than 30 for a single day event, we will need to discuss your event in more detail.
How many sites will we be working on? Blueprint’s ideal number on a homeowner job site is 12-14 individuals. If your group is larger than that, we will split up into multiple sites. If your group is larger than the ideal number but want to all be on one site, that may be possible but will be based on our current projects being worked on.
Is there a cost for single day construction projects? No, however, the single day construction projects are designed as an introductory volunteer program. If your group regularly volunteers for the single day projects we may begin to ask you to help cover cost. If you are a business, we do gladly accept contributions to help continue with our program.
