December 2020: message In response to Covid-19
To our Blueprint family and friends,
It seems unlikely that in a year full of changed plans, we were able to make plans and accomplish goals! We worked on the roofs of 18 homes, hosted many groups for Blueprint Works projects, gave out emergency meals and essential groceries, had many front porch chats with homeowners, and ended the year by delivering over 100 Christmas gifts in partnership with local churches.
While the word “we” is used, it actually had very little to do with us here at Blueprint! None of these things could have been accomplished without the provision of a great and mighty God. He used many of you to give generously to Blueprint. You gave your time, funds, and attention. We thank God for each of you!
As we look forward to turning over a new leaf in 2021, here are some things that we hope to accomplish:
Continue Blueprint Works Saturday projects
Begin previewing homes and interviewing potential homeowners
Host camps
Use our building as a gathering space for events and/or rentals as we have in previous years
Partner with additional churches for Blueprint Christmas in 2021
We’re thankful for those of you who have already signed up for Blueprint Works projects, are coming to camp (about 800 of you have already signed up), or are interested in volunteering in other capacities. Our partnerships with each of you are irreplaceable. We hope to extend that reach to include additional ministry partners this year. As with any plans made in the past several months, we have learned to hold them loosely and live with the awareness that what God gives us for the next day is enough.
While the patterns of our lives still seem to change daily, we know this to be true: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow and we will trust Him to guide us through every season.
April 2020: message In response to Covid-19
Many of you have asked “How can I Help?”
Through the collaboration of our staff, we have come up with several ways you can partner with our ministry:
donate and/or deliver a “blessing box” (with hygiene items or grocery staples)
help make calls to a homeowner
if selecting one of these options you will be prompted to email our Community Engagement Director, Aubrey McKissick; please include “Covid-19 Response” in the subject line and your contribution of choice in the body of the email
donate towards construction projects
*please note, we cannot guarantee your donation will be used to fund the exact item or project listed
